IMAKON LinkRezzer Manual v 1.2

We are working on instructional videos and a detailed manual with pictures. In the meantime do not hesitate to contact Epos Imako inworld when you need help!

Quickstart

Loading the LinkRezzer

  1. Rezz the LinkRezzer to the ground.
  2. Drop the Part script in every root prim of your build
  3. Click the LinkRezzer and select "Save" from the blue menu
  4. Optionally Click the LinkRezzer and select "Count" from the blue menu and check if the numbers of linked sets and saved sets are equal.
  5. Take all the parts into inventory
  6. Drop the parts in the inventory of the LinkRezzer (You can optionally click count again to check if the inventory number equals the number of saved sets, to check if all sets are in the inventory)
  7. Click the LinkRezzer and select "Finalize" from the blue menu

You can now take your LinkRezzer into inventory. Before you do, rename it to something convenient so you can find your packed build later on.

Menu buttons on an unfinalized LinkRezzer:

  • [Finish] Remove all LinkRezzer scripts from the build and make it permanent
  • [Help] Get the owners manual
  • [Hide] Hide the LinkRezzer ( type "/25 show linkrezzer" in chat to make it visible again)
  • [Rezz] Rezz the contents of the LinkRezzer
  • [Save] Save the position of the build
  • [Delete] Remove the rezzed build (you can always rezz it again)
  • [Count] Tells you how many linked sets are there with the script in them, how many linked sets have been saved, and how many objects (linked sets) are in the inventory of the LinkRezzer. With this you can check if every part of your structure has been scripted, saved and packed.

Using the loaded LinkRezzer

  1. Rezz the loaded (and renamed) LinkRezzer to the ground
  2. Click the LinkRezzer and select Rezz from the blue menu
  3. After your build has rezzed, move and rotate the LinkRezzer to position your build in the right place
  4. When you're satisfied with the position of your build, click the LinkRezzer and select Finish from the blue menu

The building is now finished and all LinkRezzer scripts are removed. You can now safely delete the LinkRezzer or take it back into your inventory!

Menu buttons on a finalized LinkRezzer:

  • [Finish] Remove all LinkRezzer scripts from the build and make it permanent
  • [Help] Get the user manual
  • [Hide] Hide the LinkRezzer ( type "/25 show linkrezzer" in chat to make it visible again)
  • [Rezz] Rezz the contents of the LinkRezzer
  • [Delete] Remove the rezzed build (you can always rezz it again)

Branding

You can use your own textures with the LinkRezzer to make it blend in with your company brand! Simply create some nice textures for the sides, the opened state and the packed state of the top and bottom side. Then edit the LinkRezzer, delete the corresponding textures from its inventory and replace those with your own textures!

Make sure they are named exactly as the textures they are replacing!

  • LinkRezzer_Opened (for the top side of the LinkRezzer in Opened state)
  • LinkRezzer_Packed ( for the top and bottom sides of the LinkRezzer when finalized)
  • LinkRezzer_Solid (for all the other sides of the LinkRezzer)

Q&A

If you have more questions, ask support. We will add your question and the answer to this list.

Q: Some parts of my build end up in strange positions, they stay on top of the LinkRezzer and do not move to the right place. What is wrong?

A: The position of that piece has not been saved properly. Try saving again, use the count button and check if every linked set has the LinkRezzer_Part script in it. Also check if all linked sets have been saved. If all is OK, take all the objects out of the LinkRezzer, take copies of all the linked parts of your structure again and put them in the LinkRezzer. Then try rezzing again.
